  1. Opportunists tends to and loves to work with other Opportunists. They are salesmen, and Innovators are those who invent breakthrough inventions. Without the support of Builders, the business/company that these two are venturing in, might not be successful.

    1. The Right Quadrant DNAs, namely, the Opportunist and Innovator share the following common traits:-
      - Highly creative & out-of-the-box thinkers
      - Love spending time with & around people
      - Very open to asking for help & guidance
      - Quite disorganized & procrastinate on things they don't like to do.
      - Tries to keep life & business fun, positive & family-friendly
As such, nothing much moves in an Opportunist-Innovator Partnership.

  2. The team up of an Innovator and an Opportunist is possible for small business ventures, but not for a high-scale company. Builders are required for this to happen.

    1. Not much growth is expected from an Opportunist-Innovator partnership but possibly survival mode if the business is within the creative and networking type of markets.

  3. Their success will not be big because for them to achieve something great, they will need a Builder. Innovator and Specialist will be a good team up but not to the point of great success.

  4. Althought the partnership is not a cross-quardrant partnership(which is the best scenario), the Innovator-Opportunist relationship allows the Innovator to work in R&D, while the Opportunists work on marketing. However, a Builder will be needed to run the business(as most franchises, dealers, or agency organizations are operated).

  5. The outcome of this partnership may be successful one and maybe a successful business as well because the Opportunist can market the business and the Innovator can do the R&D. But however in order for the business to run properly they need a Builder. But overall this partnership can be a successful one actually.

  6. Opportunist will always go for something that makes money fast. Innovators will have great and new ideas for a business. Opportunistic will most likely join the business that the innovator created. Innovators work in business more than on it. So, no one is in charge. I would say it's fine for them to partner up, but it will be too risky to continue the business.

  7. The outcome of an opportunist-innovator partnership wouldn't be too successful because they are both in the right side of the BOSI DNA quadrant; they have many characteristics in common.

    1. BoAh, only the cross quadrant DNAs do not have common traits, for example, the B & I and the S & O. Other than that. the Upper, Lower, Left and Right Quadrant DNAs have common characteristics. The common characteristics can have both positive and negative effect on the partnership. However, for the case of Opportunist and Innovator, their common traits are fun and more fun. That's why it may not go beyond the status quo.

  8. As Opportunists and Innovators are both right quadrant DNAs, they are not efficient business partners like cross quadrant DNAS. Since they are both on the same side, they share quite a bit of similarities and because of this, they cannot fill in each other's weaknesses and their company will fall short in those areas. Without the Builder's and Specialist's strengths, the company would not have strong strategies that will move the companies and would not be strong on the areas the opportunist-innovator combo dislike.

    1. Suin, in a business, the Innovator DNA does the Research & Development and the Opportunist DNA does the Sales & Marketing. But what's missing is the Specialist who manages the routine production of the product(s) and customer service while the Builder provides the strategic direction of the business in terms of growth and expansion. So, the I & O partnership is fine but it may not go beyond the status quo because the common traits of the I & O is fun and more fun! :)

  9. Because cross-quadrant pairings are the most successful, they would most likely have a greater outcome than non cross-quadrant pairings. Their weaknesses and strengths compliment each other. Innovators can come up with the idea, and Opportunists can pitch the idea to investors.

    1. Innovator surely can create a great idea while the Opportunist can pitch the idea. But both of these two DNAs have something in common, that is, having fun and more fun. So, no control could result in no progress!

  10. Because both innovator and opportunist are both right quadrant, they have similarities, but also differences. Opportunists like to make money quick, causing them to buy into a lot of innovator ideas, which, dont get me wrong, is good, BUT it can have a downfall. If the product that the innovator creatres is good, it still needs to be marketed good. opportunists and Innovators are like minded people, and if not kept under control will stray off of work for some fun.

  11. Opportunist always look something that they could make money easily and quickly. Innovators can have great ideas that are really creative and expert products for a business.

Opportunists would not want to be partners with other business that innovators created. Innovators tend to work "in" business when specialists and other DNAs work "on" it. and because both DNA has common personality they would need builder or other DNA to keep the business going. however, it is risky but they would have fun.

  12. By pairing up opportunists with innovators, their business would not flourish. Their business would just stay simple and their would not be much improvement. Both of the DNAs are just fun-loving and laid back people. For their business to improve, they need a builder to help them take their business to the next level and keep the business in control.
