Successful leaders are persons of influence. The influence that Builders have on the people around them attract others to them and cause them to willingly give the extra mile to Builders.
Builders motivate others by setting the example. This is typically demonstrated by the Builder's strong problem solving skills. As such, people around them feel secure following a Builder in a task-oriented environment and thus, are highly motivated to give the extra mile.
Builders are natural leaders and people are attracted to leaders. If Builders use their strength wrongly to manipulate, the result will always end in a broken relationship. However when using the same strength to coach or mentor others, people are highly motivated to go that extra mile for them.
Builders are natural leaders and as such, they set good examples for others to follow. They motivate by means of being there and done that. Although Builders do have a tendency to dictate or direct the team, people tend to be very willingly to follow suit when a task is at hand. The relationship breaks down at the point when others expect the Builders to be as passionate about the people personally as they are with the task. Builders motivate and encourage people on accomplishing a task but anything unrelated to the task at hand is a waste of resources and time.
